The course will guide the real estate professional through Fannie Mae’s Collateral Underwriter or what is commonly known as CU. This risk assessment tool will be discussed and the course will highlight the key components that CU analyzes such as data integrity, comparable selection, the adjustment process and
final reconciliation. Other topics will include red flags, policy compliance issues, scoring, change and modification requests as well as analyzing the appraiser’s role in the CU process. The new UAD reporting requirements will be reviewed.
